Jenn & Zach – A Sexy Elegance at La Valencia in La Jolla

This is a second post entitled with the words “Elegant Bash” as it is also the same thing that comes to mind with Jennifer and Zachery’s wedding celebration held at La Valencia Hotel overlooking the Pacific in La Jolla, CA.   The Valencia was decked out in an elegance that I’ve never seen before.  Sexy, Black & White, Hot Purple Elegance!  At the same time, the friendship and love (and beverage) were flowing so it turned into a Bash and a Half!

The wedding ceremony was held at the lawn overlooking the pacific and guests then enjoyed cocktail hour in the Whaling Bar before being escorted down to the Verandah Room & Terrace.  The room was magnificently decked out in chic black & white with a Hot Purple lighting to accent – everything from the rich Black linens, black Chavarti chairs to the black & white silk dinner menu cards.  It all came together with the help of Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings, Adorations Design(and floral) Studio, Concepts Event Design and many others, including us who provided the lighting.

Things got started early!

The party got started right away as after Wedding Party Introductions, I introduced Zach & Jen who then went right into their first dance.  Zach followed with a nice “Thank You Toast” followed by me inviting all of the guests to the dancefloor for the ceremonial “breaking of the glass”.  With the guests already on their feet, we went straight into the Hora for a “pre-dinner” dance set.  Dinner followed which was outstanding as usual from La Valencia.

A Party for Sure!

I knew from the pre-dinner Hora that this was going to be a good party, but it was reconfirmed when the guests broke out into an impromptu dance session in the middle of dinner as I played some more ‘upbeat’ songs . . . it didn’t take much for this crowd!  We HAD to slow down for a few moments and get our Toasts and Family Dances out of the way, but then it was right back to the dancefloor for the rest of the party!  And it was a party for sure . . one of those ones that a DJ dreams about!  I’ll just finish by saying that everyone “danced their asses off!” from beginning to end.
