My wife and I used Blake as our DJ and lighting provider for our wedding August 2015. We are from NJ and had our wedding reception on Coronado Island at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort and our ceremony on Silver Strand Beach nearby.
Blake’s online planning tools made planning the energy level and music choices from across the country much easier than I could have imagined. Blake was responsive to communication, and flexible with his pricing and packages. The flexible and modern online payment options offered by Pro Motion were also refreshing for an industry that is still rife with “cash or check only” businesses. Blake provided sound services for our ceremony adequately, and was able to stay enough out of the way that my wife did not even know that we had sound reinforcement until I mentioned it the next day.
For the reception, Blake went above and beyond in mapping out a tricky lighting situation for our dinner and dancing on an outdoor patio. The lighting came out beautifully, and the pricing for this option was well below several other vendors whom I had provide quotes. Beyond the exemplary service provided during the ceremony and the lighting during the reception, the actual DJ service was second to none. We had a small party of 50 people, and Blake read the crowd the entire night and kept the dance floor occupied from the final bite of dinner until the last dance. I actually had people in my wedding party ask me if I had personally picked all the songs that were played because the selection so closely matched my group’s tastes.
Blake was also very efficient at judging the reception’s investment in the current music choice, and if that interest was fading, he would quickly transition to another song. These quick adjustments were extremely effective, and his beat matching ability on such a short timeframe is a sign of an experienced and talented DJ. I would highly recommend Pro Motion Entertainment for anyone planning their wedding in the SD area.

I booked Pro Motion Entertainment to do my market lighting for our wedding. It was July 4th so I was worried about who would be willing to set up and take down on the day.
Blake and his company made me feel at ease from our initial conversation. He was very informative and helpful and kept me up to date with his plans. He even sent over a ‘map’ of how the lights would be set up.
We had a very sudden move to Atlanta from California which we weren’t expecting and I had huge concerns about organising from so far away and not being able to visit the site.
Blake assured me he was prepared and did his research on the venue. I arrived to the most beautiful lighting, which everyone commented on, and with no hassle at all. I was completely worry free on my morning or in the days leading up to the wedding. Blake took complete control and ensured everything was perfect. I couldn’t of asked for a better job!
It wasn’t a wedding, but it felt like one! I hired Blake and Pro Motion Entertainment for my mom’s 80th birthday celebration and I was so glad I did! Blake took photos from the beginning of the party until the end, MC’d the entire event and helped the party flow smoothly. We also had a photo booth which everyone loved! Blake also provided DJ services and lighting. Everyone at the party raved at how great everything looked and how much fun they had at the party. I would HIGHLY recommend Blake for any event!
Blake was simply amazing. He put together such an incredible video slide show for my wife and I. He made a beautiful slide show for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Blake personally came to the venue, set up the screen, projector and speakers. He spent several hours of his time there, far more than he had even promised. I kept him there while all of ours family’s gave their speeches, and Blake didn’t mind at all.
Blake was so accommodating and made the most incredible slide show. We were so happy with the result, better than I could have imagined.

Blake was incredibly professional but brought a warm fun feeling to our wedding reception as well. He kept in line with all music genres we discussed beforehand and was able to keep our guests engaged the entire time. He was quick at finding the music selections that kept our guests dancing all evening!
Blake also did our lighting and I admit, at first I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. It was incredibly important to me that our reception stayed classy and elegant leaving behind any “nightclub” feeling with the lighting. I am so glad we trusted his judgement as it just added a beautiful candle like feel to the walls surrounding our event.

He did the set-up music for our ceremony (outdoor), cocktail hour (indoor) and our reception (indoor). He also did our uplighting & gobo monogram on our dance floor – which was gorgeous & added such an elegant touch. Additionally, we had to plan our wedding remotely (we live in NY with the wedding in CA) and Blake worked around my husband and my busy schedules (both working full time and part-time graduate school) as well as the time difference to Skype and talk about details. He also accommodated our tight schedules when we were in CA and was very responsive to emails.
We have received non-stop compliments since our wedding on what a great DJ and Emcee Blake was. He was professional, friendly, outgoing and spoke with the wedding party to ensure he had names and pronunciations correct as well as with my father to add a more personal touch to our father daughter dance.
Blake did a wonderful job and I highly recommend him for anyone planning an event with a DJ and/or Emcee. He was such a professional emcee. We received many compliments on how impressed with Blake and his professionalism compared to other wedding DJ’s they’d heard. Our biggest goal was for everyone to have fun and judging by the dance floor and all the smiles in every picture Blake succeeded 100%. He did an amazing job of reading the dance floor and playing appropriate music.
We had to move our wedding inside for the last hour and Blake made a seamless transition with a second DJ booth already set up and ready to go when the time came.
I had been dreaming about our wedding day since the day we got engaged and my husband and both agree that the day was absolutely perfect and exceeded all expectations that we had. We attribute a lot of that to Blake doing such a great job with his role as DJ and emcee.
We first heard about Blake from my parents who attended a wedding he DJ’ed a year before my husband and I got engaged. My parents raved about how great that wedding was and he definitely held up to and exceeded our expectations with ours. We are so glad we went with Blake. All I can say is the lighting and the gobo was the #1 thing talked about at my reception! Also the pictures taken in the room look amazing! The gobo was also a big hit I would recommend it to anyone! The Gobo is a must!
