Sophie & Renwick’s Island Palms December Wedding

Sophie & Renwick held their small, intimate December wedding at the Island Palms Hotel & Marina in San Diego and didn’t hold back on anything!  It was just a few days after the Christmas Holiday which made it a perfect way to celebrate with family and close friends. The late December weather was nearly perfect, although the winds coming off of the adjacent harbor made for a chilly, but memorable ceremony held at the Sunset Garden. The ceremony concluded with a Dove Release...

Carmel Mountain Ranch Corporate Party DJ & Lighting

A past bride of mine contacted me after 4 years since doing her wedding, and they were looking to “change things up” with their holiday party being held at the Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club. They had also re-branded themselves with a new identity and logo so wanted to help show it off. After recommending a custom gobo monogram projection using their new logo, along with some uplighting to match their coporate colors, the stage was set.  The corporate holiday party included...

Jenn & Zach – A Sexy Elegance at La Valencia in La Jolla

This is a second post entitled with the words “Elegant Bash” as it is also the same thing that comes to mind with Jennifer and Zachery’s wedding celebration held at La Valencia Hotel overlooking the Pacific in La Jolla, CA.   The Valencia was decked out in an elegance that I’ve never seen before.  Sexy, Black & White, Hot Purple Elegance!  At the same time, the friendship and love (and beverage) were flowing so it turned into a Bash and a Half! The wedding...

Bonnie & Chris’s Blast Wedding at Paradise Point

Many weddings can be summarized with a few words and “an Awesome Time” does the trick for Bonnie & Chris’s wedding at Paradise Point in San Diego.  It started light, fun and friendly, looked absolutely dazzling in the middle and ended with a bang on the dancefloor. Working with great vendors was also a nice touch which helps every wedding! The intimate and joyful ceremony was held on the Island Point lawn and officiated by Deborah Young. Immediately following, guests...

Sierra & David Celebrate at The Catamaran

Sierra & David had a Catholic ceremony earlier in the day, but brought their Wedding Reception to the Catamaran Resort in Pacific Beach for a top-notch celebration.  Being the big “9-10-11″ wedding day, the place was bustling with activity (there were 3 stuffed reception room just upstairs alone.)  This was my second Catamaran wedding this summer alone.  Don Cole photographed the evening and was a pleasure to work with with his very easy going attitude. This one was...

Angie & Mike Celebrate Their Waterfront Tom Ham’s Lighthouse Wedding

Angie & Mike came in from Arizona to have their (somewhat) destination wedding.  I say somewhat as they and many of their frends and family are from out of town, but they all spend a lot of time boating ouf of San Diego and Southern California.  Therefore, Tom Ham’s Lighthouse was a perfect venue for them to both hold their wedding and post-nuptial reception! The wedding ceremony was officiated by the infamous Pastor Mike out on the side patio as is common at Tom Ham’s. ...

Virgil & Penelope have been awesome to work with to prepare for their BIG celebration at the Steel Canyon Golf Club in Jamul, California which turned out to be an awesome place to hold a wedding!  Since “Virge & Penny” were going all out, we had multiple planning meetings and a site visit ahead of time to review the arrangement, flow, timeline and all of the event lighting that we were bringing into the Pavilion.  It paid off! Jorge & Sylvia Wedding all Lit Up at NTC

Jorge and Sylvia held their large, 300+ person wedding in the McMillin Events Center at the NTC Promenade in Liberty Station and wanted to step it up a few notches with some custom lighting to include uplighting and pinspotting for their cake.  After an onsite walk-through planning meeting, we set the details and were ready for their big day! Setup had to be done earlier in the day ~2pm and took some pictures as best as possible.  The wedding was not nearly setup and was quite bright...
