San Diego DJ
| As mentioned in my
biography, my route to
becoming a successful San Diego DJ started with my love
for electronica music while in college. My
roommate and I used to listen to "DJCarwax" on a popular
Manhattan radio station. I used to "tape" (yes,
that's a tape cassette) the shows and put "mixes"
together that I could work out too, or go to football
practice with. |

 |
A few years later, while working
overseas, I ventured to a "techno" club in England -
Turnmills to be exact. I made it till about 7:30
am, and the club was totally packed. I was in love
with "the club scene." For years to follow, I
found myself planning business trips around weekends to
ensure I could get a sneak into the local club - whether
a mega club like Zouk in Singapore, or a small,
underground lounge in Rio De Janeiro . . . I've seen
alot of club in my day :) |
|
A few years after that, i found myself
responding to a local newspaper advertisement for
"DJ Lessons" I took my first lesson with San
Diego Mix Masters and was hooked. 4 months
later, I had my "2 turntables and a microphone."
I started out with House . . . yes,
i was originally a "house head" but ventured more
towards hip hop, 80s, old school and more of the
"mainstream" stuff. As i became more
mainstream, I started to play out at bars and clubs
in San Diego. |

A few years later, I decided to venture
out to the "mobile" business - did a corporate holiday
party for a friend - that was a great success. A
guest there asked me to do his wedding. I haven't
looked back since. 8 months later, I left my
"other career" and have become a full time mobile San
Diego DJ. |
|
Being a full time DJ in San Diego - I
am currently performing about 80% weddings, 10%
corporate events, and 10% other (bars, house
parties, colleges, etc.)
I am a DJ, and proud of it, cheese
never, and prouder of that! I am here to
change your pre-existing thoughts of a Wedding DJ. |
