UCSD EPSE-LAMP 2015 Graduation Ceremony & Reception | San Diego DJ/MC

The 2015 graduation and reception for UCSD’s EPSE-LAMP programs were held at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. We had the pleasure of providing the Event Planning, Music/Emcee Services, Event Photography & Photobooth, Event Lighting and A/V Services for both the graduation ceremony and reception. We also did the design and printing of all the event stationary. Students, guests, sponsors, faculty, staff, and alumni were all present for this graduation and networking event.

Event Photography

Our event photographers were present to capture all of the excitement, such as candid moments and group shots of the graduating class. They got some great shots of the graduates, the event lighting, and the people in the audience. We also made sure they snapped shots of the gorgeous event stationary, decor, and venue!

Audio-Visual Services

Our own Blake Miller – EPSE graduate, 2003 – was the emcee, and he also handled the event lighting and all of the audio/visual needs. This included the video projection and screens, and a custom Powerpoint presentation developed for the evening. “The Year in Pictures” showed off the special moments that the classes enjoyed together throughout their time at UCSD. We were also a part of this endeavor, as we update their website and handle their event marketing.

Event Stationary

We did the layout, design, printing, and assembly for all of the event stationary. This included custom branded placards, menus, event programs, and name tags. These elements worked cohesively with the decor and branding, creating a distinctive and unique EPSE-LAMP experience for the guests.

PME’s Open Air PhotoBooth

The evening began with a reception on the outdoor patio. We brought back a big hit that was offered in prior years: the open air studio Photobooth. Guests, spouses, team members and co-workers could all have their picture taken in front of the EPSE & LAMP banner, and silly props and poses added to the fun.

The best part? These pictures were printed out and available as a parting favor at the end of the evening.

Conclusion

This event is special to us as we’ve helped UCSD since 2005 with their formal events and gatherings – this was our 10th year and we look forward to continuing with graduations in the future. Overall the graduation was a great success, and we’re already looking forward to what’s in store for 2016.
